Until 6 January 2020, in the splendid setting of the Reggia di Venaria, a great monograph by David LaChapelle, irreverent and irreverent master of contemporary photography "Atti Divini" is the title of the great exhibition by David LaChapelle scheduled at the Citroniera delle Scuderie Juvarriane - one of the most impressive architectural spaces of Venaria and European baroque - until 6 January 2020 70 the works exhibited, of large and very large formats, the most significant of the various periods of the artist's career: a unique and revolutionary visual path, which leads to a new artistic expression set in a phantasmagorical colored paradise. The works on display,"Atti Divini" presents, for the first time, some unpublished works of the new LaChapelle series - New World (2017-2019) - which represents the artist's astonishment for the sublime and the search for spirituality in utopian tropical scenes. At the center of the exhibition path is Deluge (2007), in which LaChapelle makes contemporary the fresco by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, while, among the iconic works, should be reported Rape of Africa (2009), which shows Naomi Campbell as a Venus by Botticelli set in the gold mines of Africa and Showtime at the Apocalypse (2013) , a portrait of the Kardashian family that represents not only the family itself, but our fears, obsessions and desires that are reflected in it Important parts of the exhibition are also the lively and electrifying series Land SCAPE (2013) and Gas (2013) , still life projects in which LaChapelle brings together found objects to create oil refineries and their interconnected service stations and then present them as relics in a land reclaimed by nature.
