It challenges different elements to coexist various faces, beings, and forms all vying for presence and recognition. Each figure seeks the viewer’s attention, but in doing so simultaneously creates a kind of harmony, one that is self-reflective, inward, and driven by the imagination.
This harmony is not peaceful in a conventional sense. It resembles the inner mechanics of the mind, the gears turning when a decision is made, when a plan begins to form, when desire fuels action. It is about commitment: the moment when one decides to invest fully, to push forward, even to the point of overextension. There is a tension between control and surrender, yet the desire to continue outweighs the temptation to stop.
At its core, this work channels a drive toward expansion, in creativity, desire, and emotion. It also signals an embrace of boldness: boldness that doesn’t need to tamed. It is an unapologetic statement of forward movement.
