In 12 Laws of the Universe by Pam Glick, the monochrome red square dominates the composition, echoing the Modernist works of Albers and Malevich. The blue colour fields which partially frame the irregular grid of Glick’s dynamic lines, further syncopate the layout. Framing the lace-like network of rhythmic cursive gestures, the grid in 12 Laws of the Universe is distinctive, intermittently advancing and receding from the viewer, and alluding to architectural relations of lines in space.
