Anas Albraehe (b. 1991 in Syria) graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Painting and Drawing from Damascus University of Fine Arts in Syria in 2014. In 2015, he moved to Lebanon at the cusp of the war in Syria where he obtained a Master's degree in Psychology and Art Therapy from the Lebanese University. Heavily influenced by the French painters of the early half of the 20th century, Albraehe explores the psychology of color and the gaze of the other. His paintings focus on memories of his home, its people and environment. His work has been exhibited widely throughout the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
