Ojo Ayotunde (b. 1995 in Lagos, Nigeria) received his National Diploma in General Art at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, in 2015 and a Higher National Diploma, in graphic design at Yaba, in 2018. He writes about his work: "Art for me is a proof of my existence as a human being; observing the world around me (the living and the inanimate) drawing inspiration from my surroundings and converting all that abstract energy into a palpable realism with the use of available medium. Art also serves as a channel for me through which I release my usually strong and sometimes indecipherable emotions into painstaking realism. Social and political activism, through visual documentation of forgotten institutions and legacies inspired through genuine humanism are some of the things that I try to portray with my art. When I am not being an activist or visual historian, I am relieving my deep-seated love for the human anatomy and making studies of the human form."
