"The old and neglected beauty, a power once dormant, is now awake. From centuries the Nymphes were part of the imaginary, a vision of both power and neglected love. These creatures evoke something deeper for me. What river do we became when unguarded tears flow endlessly, what branch from each tree can I turn to for holding onto this love for so long, or which bird may I have to transform into for daring to fly to high? In a political sense the stakes were always there for the dreams of Black people around the world, there's always something out there for the dreams of Dreamers. This is a painting of consequences and an ode for those who dare to take them." - Samuel de Saboia
