Jackie With Flowers and Caroline And Jackie are based on paparazzi photos of the Kennedys captured on the NYC street sidewalk in the 1970s. In both images Mrs. Kennedy avoids the camera. Although obscured she is still recognizable within these candid, commonplace events. In both photographs I was drawn to the triangle form that the figures create, and the stability that these forms imply despite this chaotic moment.
