Kasper Sonne (b. 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is known for his innovative use of materials and exploration of space, light, and colour. Through his work, Sonne challenges our perceptions of space, colour, and materiality, to capture a mood, and encourages viewers to see the beauty in simplicity. His innovative approach to art and his commitment to experimentation have established him as one of Denmark's most exciting and dynamic contemporary artists. He has exhibited his work at the Museum of Modern Art Denmark and the Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, and Bergen Kunsthall, Bergen, among many others. His work has been featured in magazines such as Artforum, Art In America, Modern Painters and Flash Art.
