30 Years

 

 

Thirty years ago, MARUANI MERCIER opened its doors at rue de la Régence with a a focused program of established American painters from the 1980s. Since then, at Avenue Louise and Kustlaan, it has grown into a vibrant, platform for International contemporary art. Over the course of 300 exhibitions, the gallery has provided a forum for different generations and cultural perspectives to intersect, sparking dialogue and driving artistic discourse forward.

 

Across continents, MARUANI MERCIER has participated in leading art fairs, collaborated with curators on Institutional exhibitions, and contributed to new scholarship through critical publications and research initiatives. This milestone is not just a celebration of longevity, it is a tribute to the countless artists who have shaped our identity, to the commitment of our collectors, to the dedicated team that supported our vision, and to the vibrant conversations that have emerged within these walls.

 

We celebrate 30 YEARS with a landmark exhibition, showcasing works by all the artists from our roster in one space. The presentation, held in our Knokke gallery, brings together the different aesthetic practices within the program whilst highlighting underlying sensibilities. It is a joyful, resolutely celebratory event that pays tribute to the past, engages the present, and looks toward the future. Visitors are invited to journey through the evolution of MARUANI MERCIER over the past three decades whilst engaging with the ever-shifting landscape of contemporary art.
